Our shop is at 2417 E Somerset St, Philadelphia, PA 19134. We travel up to about an hour for repairs, and further for restoration projects.
Rowhouses and twins with original steel casements, churches and converted industrial buildings in Fishtown, Kensington, Port Richmond, Germantown, Mount Airy, Chestnut Hill, Roxborough and Center City. Our shop is in Port Richmond, so most city jobs are a short drive.
Stone Colonial Revival and Tudor homes in Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Haverford, Wynnewood and Gladwyne often have steel or bronze casements with leaded glass. We also work in Norristown, King of Prussia and Conshohocken.
Fieldstone farmhouses and historic homes around Doylestown and New Hope, West Chester borough, and Media and Swarthmore in Delaware County.
Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, Moorestown, Collingswood and Princeton. Haddonfield's historic district is one of the places where repair-in-kind documentation matters most.
Brick homes and civic buildings in Wilmington and northern New Castle County, about 40 minutes from our shop.
Within Philadelphia we work every week in Fishtown, Kensington, Port Richmond, Northern Liberties, Fairmount, Germantown, Mount Airy, Chestnut Hill, East Falls, Roxborough, Manayunk, Society Hill and Queen Village. Each has its own housing stock, from Trinity houses and Victorian twins to 1920s rowhouses with steel casements, and we bring the right parts and tools for what we expect to find.
For towns farther from Port Richmond we group visits by area, so estimates in the same part of the region happen on the same day. Repairs that need shop work are picked up and returned on scheduled runs, which keeps travel costs off your bill. For large restoration projects outside our usual area we set up a work plan with a fixed crew on site.
In the city it is steel casements in rowhouses and twins, often painted shut, with rusted bottom rails and cracked putty. On the Main Line it is leaded steel and bronze casements in stone houses, where worn hinges and loose leaded panels are typical. In Bucks and Chester Counties we work mostly on wood sashes in fieldstone houses, and in South Jersey on wood and steel windows in historic districts that require repair in kind.
Outside this area? Call (215) 555-0163. For whole-building restorations we take projects across the Mid-Atlantic.
